This week Kay from Wastebusters has been working with Room 5. We have been learning about reusing, reducing and recycling our rubbish.
Why we need to reduce waste...
In New Zealand, all of our rubbish is buried in landfill sites. We don't have enough exsiting landfills to cope with the increasing amount of rubbish we are throwing away. Over half of what we put in our rubbish can be recycled or composted!
Everyone needs to help if we are to keep our enviroment safe and clean
