100s day

Since the first day of the school year we have been putting a stick in the jar and counting how many sticks there are.  When the one's jar has 10 sticks in it, we bundle them up and put them in the tens jar.

Last Wednesday there were ten bundles of 10 in the 10s, so we bundled them up into one BIG bundle and put them into the 100s jar.

Since we had reached 100 days of school we had a special 100s day party.  We brought food to share for lunch.  We made some 100s day crowns, we sang a special "How many in 100?" song, we used some maths equipment and made groups of 100, and we wrote about what we would buy if we had $100.  Some people came to school wearing cool costumes.

We all had a very fun day.
